Laptop computer and desktop computer are essentially the same and have also the same functionality in terms in operation, and though follow the same specification in the speed definition. The difference of the two will be seen obviously from its hardware components to its size and portability.
In a nutshell Laptops AKA notebook computers are a book like size, handy, portable and function in everything like that of a desktop computer. Laptops are portably convenient to have and you carry it around and laptops are great tool that runs without the aid of direct electric power unlike the desktop computer, and yet if there are advantages in having laptops there are also disadvantages that we should seriously address such as it is so delicate in its part.
You may find it uncomfortable in using laptops if you are accustomed in using desktop computer. And basically laptops a far from having it all like the desktop computer, there are laptops that only depends on its hard disk and flash disk to store its files and it would mean a big issue if you came your files through a CD/DVD disk or having the former floppy disk, because there is no CD/DVD ROM in some of laptops especially those smaller ones and called as Notebooks. Laptops have smaller keyboard that sometimes very annoying if you are typing which you may touch its touch – pad unintentionally and this event will jump your cursor anywhere and messed – up your work. Also you might find it cramping to use the touch – pad compare to a mouse when navigating your cursor. The tendencies are you might buy another keyboard and mouse, and then plug it to the USB port that will be consuming your USB port that makes you problem in your own flash drive and external drive in where you will plug it.
Based on my experienced, it is good to use first a desktop computer than laptops and if you are a beginner. This argument will be explained be the heavy duty of having desktop computers. And we all admit if we are still a beginner, we love to explore around into the computer and this would be a downfall if you are using a laptop when you over used it and damage it. Repairing laptops are much expensive than repairing a desktop computers especially if the laptop is made abroad and its components can be accessed abroad, you might end up into naught.
But don't let all this prevent you from using laptops, I’m just stressing out the pros and cons so that you can be aware and be careful in your move. Remember that either of the two is expensive to have so you should handle it with care.
